Polio stories - personal recollections of the polio epidemic of the 1940s and 1950s

I was a preschooler and mum had us wearing wee camphor bags pinned to our singlets.

My two sisters had to listen to the radio each morning and do the school work on the kitchen table (lessons on the radio).

We all had an injection (mandatory).

Some folk who got polio got it again many years later.
