Kuri Bush

Description
Kuri Bush is a small settlement 12km south of Brighton and 5km before Taieri Mouth.
The distinctive dome shaped barn that was originally from the South Seas exhibition at Logan Park landmarked the area and this eventually was blown down by high winds in November 2015.
The dome building occupied a central location in the arts section of the highly-popular New Zealand and South Seas Exhibition (1889-90), located south of The Exchange.
The building was subsequently shifted to Kuri Bush, and at one stage housed a cow byre, hen house and blacksmith operation, before becoming a hay barn.
Kuri bush is also a popular spot with local surfers.
