Dunedin Public Libraries Recollect
We gratefully acknowledge the Cedars of Lebanon for their generous support, which has enabled this archive to flourish.
We acknowledge Kāi Tahu, particularly mana whenua from Ōtākou and Puketeraki marae, and honour their enduring relationship with the whenua, awa, and taiao of the Ōtepoti Dunedin rohe.
Nau Mai, Haere Mai
He Purapura Marara Scattered Seeds Digital Archive preserves Ōtepoti Dunedin’s living history through stories, photographs, memories, and voices. Bringing together community contributions, contemporary photographic records and treasures from Dunedin Public Libraries’ Heritage Collections, the archive offers an inclusive, collaborative space celebrating both past and present. By capturing everyday life alongside major events, our aim is to keep the city’s collective memory alive for future generations.
