Brother of: William James Grant, farmer, Outram, Richard Webster Grant, Outram; Edward Charles Grant, medical practitioner of Keri Keri; Mabel Grant, Spinster of Outram; May Margaret Paterson, of Paraparaumu, wife of David Oswald Paterson, medical practitioner; David Albert Grant killed WW1 on 7 April 1918; Florence May Kerr died 27 December 1943 of Dunedin; John Thomas Grant died d. 10 May 1955 On the back of the photograph is written - "Cut my hair, right off all over with the machine - no cover for insects so they say - all hands have to undergo the same operation before sailing"
