The Mosgiel Volunteer Brigade installed a fire bell c 1907. The first Fire Brigade was formed in 1906. In 1939 the first siren was fitted and the fire bell was sold to Mosgiel Presbyterians. Postcard donated to Taieri Historical Society by Mr Bob Wyllie of Mosgiel in 1979.
