Grahame Sydney ONZM, Artist / Photographer

Grahame is a renowned artist and photographer, his work is instantly recognisable. He is also a product of King’s High School. Academically as a child he could have been considered gifted. His
father, in his wisdom, chose King’s High School for Grahame because of its diverse nature, so he would grow up to be a fully rounded person and, of course, further his education. It was here he was influenced by his teachers, Jim McCreedy and Reg Graham, who encouraged his artistic talents. He went on to be Head Boy in his final year.
Grahame says “our neighbourhood was an unbelievably interesting and wonderful village in which to grow up”, and that “it was a cross-section of strata and social status, but the kids didn't know that”.
