Grant Millar, Leckies Butchery / Haggis Maker.
Grant is a born and bred Dunedinite. His career as a stock agent took him away but finding a good life for his kids brought him home again. “It's a great place to bring kids up.” Leckies are known for their haggis-making and are one of the few places in New Zealand that make them the traditional way. Tourism is impacting the amount of haggis ordered now, it's a unique thing for Dunedin. Leckies pride themselves not only on the quality of the meat, but their service. He says “We get to know people's names and have a wee bit of banter, people like that. Service is what brings them back.”
