Ruth Parsons, Community Constable.
Ruth had been the Community Constable in South Dunedin for 16 years at the time this photo was taken, and had a strong sense of
being part of the community, well known by the locals. “I like the area out here and the people.” She says the best thing about South Dunedin is the people are “straightforward and honest”. “Everyone is trying to do better.” She says there needs to be a “Come on out here, it’s a great place to be” message to others in the city.
