This talk was presented via Zoom, at the request of Public Libraries New Zealand, by Kay Mercer of Dunedin Public Libraries. The talk was originally given at a Taituarā — Local Government Professionals Aotearoa meeting of senior local government staff on 3rd March 2022. The talk was subsequently presented on 3rd April 2022, as part of Public Libraries New Zealand Literacy in Life series, to New Zealand public library managers, under the title: How Modern Libraries are Cultivating Thriving Communities.
