The story of the BRENSSELL family German early settlers to the province of Otago New Zealand - 1863. Published in 2013, and including an addendum with further information surrounding Johann Christian Brenssell's settlement in Outram. The addendum contains a map of land originally purchased by Ivan's grandfather, Johann Brenssell along the Taieri River, as well as historical photographs.

Johann owned the original Outram bakery located at the junction of Holyhead and Montfort Streets, which is now the Four Square shop.

This book has been kindly donated by Laurence Brenssell to the Taieri Historical Society digital collection, held within the Dunedin Public Libraries' Scattered Seeds digital archive. Mr Brenssell has given his permission for the book to be made freely available to the general public as part of his gift to the community.
