Dunedin Korean School visit
Read Share Grow recently enjoyed connecting with the Korean School of Dunedin, which operates out of The Armitage on Friday afternoons.
On the day we visited, the children were excitedly showing off the masks they had made for Year of the Rabbit celebrations. This small school has a Korean language library, which they have built up since 2014 through fundraising and grants, and trips to South Korea.
It was a pleasure to meet Mark Lee, who does an amazing job running the Dunedin Korean School. He does this alongside his full time job and co-coordinates the books loaned to families by scanning barcodes with his phone!
This is a great example of a small, focused community getting organised to source and share books that are meaningful to their whānau.
