Details
DescriptionJoseph and Nora George lived in this two room cottage and brought up eight children here from 1910 until 1935.
It included 110 acres of land, with an apple orchard, cows, pigs, sheep and chooks. Great Jidi worked hard on the land,with his sons Joe and John (Jock) felling trees for the sawmills and managing the farm. Nora and her daughters cared for the gardens and orchard, making all their own Lebanese food and picking and drying the apples.
