Description

From the left Hallam, Joe (Richard), Frank on rocking horse, Hala &Tobia, Neave with hand on his father's shoulder, Mary, Peter, In front seated Salma, Abe (Abraham), in chair, Tony (Anthony) on Tobias knee, Lizzie and Annie. Inscription on the bottom of photo in Arabic says: Picture of Tobia Shatah and his family. (Shatah probably Tobia's name as is Middle Eastern Tradition). Picture taken on 15 April 1912. Three more children born after this photo was taken: Dolly (Dalalil) - 9 May 1914 Kelly - 19 July 1916 Scotty (Isaac)- 26 September 1922. Edit of this picture Februay 2021. Since this photo was posted we have had further interpretation of the Arabic inscrption at the botton of the photo. Charbel, has written that the name Shatah is wrong and that is Shaac (Isaac in English). He said there is no such word as Shatah but Shaac. Thank you Charbel.
