DescriptionDuring the latter half of 1850's Arthur Burns built his first home in the district on family property about 300 yards to the north west of the present Mosgiel Railway Station and it was here that he took his young bride, a local girl, Sarah Dickson of the Junction in 1861. Built on the corner of Bruce and Duke Street, Mosgiel. This house was later sold to Dr. Inglis the first resident doctor in Mosgiel - 1863.
