Dunedin Midwinter Swing Festival

The third annual Dunedin Midwinter Swing Festival was held over Queens Birthday weekend from Friday 1st to Sunday 3rd June 2018. A ball was held at the Savoy on opening night, accompanied by the Rinky Tinky Jangle Jazz Club band and a showcase by the DecaVitas travelling swing experts from Sweden. The action moved to Toitū Otago Settlers Museum on Festival Saturday for the South Island Swing Dance Competitions, and the conclusion was the Sunday night Harbour Hop at Plato with the Dunedin City Jazz Orchestra providing the music.
