Aotearoa Is Not For Sale

A national day of protests were held across New Zealand on 27th April 2013 against asset sales and privatisation by the then National Government.

The protests were organised by the Aotearoa is Not for Sale Coalition, and was backed by trade unions, Labour, NZ First and MANA political parties and community groups. 

The protests marked opposition to the sell-off of power companies, creation of charter schools, public service cuts and unemployment.

The Dunedin protest took place in the Octagon.
