DescriptionAn interview, recorded as part of the Dunedin Public Libraries' oral history project on the effects on the Dunedin and wider New Zealand community of poliomyelitis outbreaks in the 1940s and 1950s. Interviewee is Lorraine Skevington, who contracted the disease at age 10, and includes her thoughts on, and recollections of, treatments and physiotherapy, particularly the Kenny method, as well as how the disease has affected her life subsequently.
