DescriptionPart one of an interview and oral history recorded asking Ivan McLachlan about the early activity of Search and Rescue in the Central Otago region during the 1950's and 1960's, with early use of helicopters and the Face Rescue team. Ivan talks about a stretcher carry and recovery of an injured party in the Hollyford valley in conjunction with Davy Gunn. Ivan was not yet 20 at this stage. He talks about the early formation of the road in the Hollyford valley. Interviewed by Matt Sheat from the Dunedin Police SAR squad in February 2018
