About this Group

In the early 1960's the Alpine Cliff Rescue Teams were established in Wellington, Christchurch, Dunedin and Invercargill to provide a skilled response for alpine and cliff areas. They were centrally funded and usually had a Police Liaison Officer appointed to them.
