DescriptionIvan McLachlan talks to Matthew Sheat about Police involvement, search advisors, and field controllers.
He also talks about the Dunedin Cliff Rescue team, and a major exercise in the Matukituki valley and to be dropped in by a Iroquois
They were flown to Queenstown and the plane there was also damaged and unable to be flown. The ministerial plane, for the minister of tourism, and Ivan as SAR advisor asked to get university members back to Dunedin
He also talks about as a field controller in the early 1960’s and an accident near Alexandra
Roger and Trevor Pullar came up with a Police dog handler and located the girl from the accident
